This elegant and regal piece features a real skunk skull in an ornate antique frame.
The skunk skull in this frame was ethically-sourced: it was found deceased along a road side in Nova Scotia Canada. The skull is in excellent condition. It is however missing part of its left zygomatic arch (the bone around the eye).
The skunk skull is firmly secured within the frame on a crushed red velvet background. The skull is not behind glass, it pops out from the frame. Even though the skull is firmly secured, the entire piece should be handled very carefully because the skull is exposed.
This lovely frame gold in colour. This victorian style frame likely dates back to the 1960s and is stamped “Made in Italy” on the back.
This piece measures 20 cm in length, 15.5 cm in width, and 6.5 cm in depth.
